Carla Rump was born in Hilversum, the Netherlands (1972). She is an Amsterdam-based artist working with wood, stone and bronze to create larger than life sculptures that connect everyday life with the natural world. Her sculptures are often designed for public interaction. Her visual language includes positive and negative space, connection to the environment, pathways and movement with figuration.
