Chameleon at the Paul Krugerstraat in Rotterdam
BelgianBluestone (2 x 2mx 70 cm x 80 cm) commissioned by the municipality of Rotterdam. The request: to create two ornaments for a wall, Theme: African animal. A marking for the beginning and end of this wall on the Paul Krugerstraat, African district, in Rotterdam. You can also reach it from the "Laan op Zuid". The eyes of the chameleon can rotate 360 degrees, that means that it can see the whole world around him/her and overlook this area. The sculpture is inspired by the Dutch ornamentation, where the rhythm is structured logically. I think, it will give us energy.
