Rotterdam (NL). Realisation 2025.
The Afrikaander neighbourhood in Rotterdam is a special one.
I was asked by the municipality of Rotterdam for an art application in the Leeuwenkuil. Of course, theme: the lion, and then united in a banister.
A long process has started, many sketches, many trials and transforming to a banister in bronze. The railing takes on a tactile effect. My intention is to transform the banister into a tactile object. Installation: June 5, 2025.
