Exhibition: Reflective Landscape

April 17 – July 11, 2025
The Provincial Government of North Holland cordially invites you to the opening of the new exhibition in the Dreef Exhibition series on Thursday, April 17 at 5:00 PM.

The exhibition Reflective Landscape will be on view from April 18 to July 11, 2025, at Paviljoen Welgelegen, Dreef 3 in Haarlem. Admission is free on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

This exhibition has been curated in the context of the commemoration of 80 years of freedom in the Netherlands.
Contemporary artists reflect on the traces of war and the fragility of freedom.
From various perspectives – from memories to current issues such as migration and fake news – they offer a powerful insight into how freedom is experienced and how its boundaries are guarded.
The landscape proves to be a constant in which memories and feelings of freedom are reflected.

During the opening, the central question will be: “What does freedom mean 80 years after liberation?”
The curators and participating artists will discuss this topic in relation to the artworks on display.

Artists:
Armando, Celine van den Boorn, Jarik Jongman, Thijs Linssen, Cristina Lucas, Carla Rump, and Jenny Ymker.
